It’s official – Barbie rules and Bratz...don’t. There has been an ongoing lawsuit between Bratz and Barbie and the makers of Barbie won recently. It would seem that the idea for the Bratz dolls actually belongs to the company that makes Barbie. But the first earthshaking announcement has come – Bratz must disappear by February 11, 2009.
Bratz games, dolls, accessories and everything else Bratz has to disappear in about a month and this leaves Barbie games in a rather uncomfortable spot. Bratz went away and left Barbie all alone. Everyone knows what happened and Barbie games are already getting some heat from those who enjoyed the Bratz games.
Of course it’s not really Barbie’s fault that the Bratz games got in trouble, but to the girls out there who like to play with a variety of dolls, it can be a bit frustrating to have one of only two real options disappear.
Fortunately Barbie has dealt with some heat before and will come out of this with no injuries and even more popularity. After all, she’s the only one left!
