Barbie Games Growing Up

Fortunately for those of us who loved Barbie games growing up, the games we loved are moving online. In fact, they have been online for years, whether you noticed the move or not. Barbie games, even the online ones are geared toward the younger set of fashionistas, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t all hop online and see what’s going on in fashion, too. In fact, most of us are already online doing something with fashion, so why not get onto the Barbie games, too?

Barbie games online are a more sophisticed way to play with the various fashions. With the Barbie games online, you’re given a doll base and an almost endless closet of clothing, especially when you venture into multiple games. You can dress your Barbie doll in any style you like and everything goes on simply by dragging and dropping – there are no tiny hands or feet to slow down the fashion process. The end result is a great time online playing with the fashion dolls you’ve always loved.

Barbie Games and Holidays Gifts

If you visit the home of a three-year-old, the likelihood is pretty high of finding Barbie games under the tree. Barbie games are popular with girls of all age, but especially with the girls who are just coming into the age of make believe and fashion fun. For a three-year-old, Barbie games are a great way to make up stories and characters and the best time to receive a Barbie game is at Christmas – even the boxes look great wrapped up under the tree.

Barbie games are hugely popular around the holiday season not only because they make such a great gift, but because they are an easy present for girls in a certain age bracket. Young girls under five or six all seem to enjoy Barbie games. You can even give Barbie games to older girls if you take advantage of the games that look like popular movie characters. These vampire Barbie games and shape shifters are the perfect toy for girls who love the popular vampire movies and books.

Barbie Games and Chocolate

When you think about it, Barbie games are a lot like chocolate. When you’re young you take the Barbie games for granted. But then as you get older, you learn that some of the best things about your childhood are frowned upon as adult. Take for example chocolate. It’s fun to eat and it makes you feel good. Therefore we should eat more of it. Unfortunately there are consequences for eating too much chocolate and society frowns on it.

Barbie games are great fun and they make you feel good, too. But as you get older you’re expected to outgrow the Barbie games and instead focus on other things. Some girls are a bit hesitant to give up their Barbie games, however. They would much rather focus on the fun of dressing up dolls and coming up with fashionable ideas than anything else. For those girls, however, no matter how old they may be, the online Barbie games are a true solution. Play the online games to your heart’s content and never worry about how it looks to others. You just enjoy the experience yourself.

Barbie Games and Princesses

There seem to be a huge number of Barbie games that are direct reflections of princesses. The Barbie games include the princesses in full regalia as well as the more demure short dresses. Some are even dressed up as baby or junior version of the princesses instead of the more teenage or adult versions. Who knows why they are so popular, but the Barbie games that are really more like princess games seem to be taking over. It’s hard to see why we would possibly need six different princess Barbie games, but you can find them packaged that way.

I’m not saying that princess games aren’t great fun, and I’m not going to argue that we shouldn’t have princess Barbie games. What I will argue is that we have so many princess and movie character Barbie games, we seem to be seriously lacking in the number of Barbies that are really just Barbie. How many blonde-haired beauties are out there on the aisle? Surprisingly few at times. I’m not normally a purist, but in this regard, I think I am becoming one. I want the real Barbie games back.

Barbie Games Are Cool Again

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed how Barbie games have gone from being something we tolerate to something we enjoy over the years? I mean as a society, not as individuals – of course there are plenty of us who loved Barbie games throughout. In the case of the society, Barbies lost a bit of their cool when Bratz games were at their peak. But then Bratz games were knocked off their throne and suddenly Barbie games were pretty cool again.

You could argue the point that Barbie games weren’t ever truly lost to the overwhelming urban nature of the Bratz games, but I think that the Bratz games did wake up the makers of Barbie games. Unfortunately, their solution was to sue the pants off the other guys, but I like that the Barbie games started to improve at the same time. Toys are always changing as they grow and develop, and Barbie seemed a bit stagnant there for a while. Now she’s looking great and we’re having a lot more fun playing Barbie games than ever before.

Barbie Games and Gifts

I might be an adult now, but I’d still love to see Barbie games under my Christmas tree this year. There is just something special about Barbie games that make them the perfect size and shape to wrap up and stick under the tree. I think Mattel, the maker of Barbie games, might have researched the proper box size even to be sure that it’s just the right size to feel large in your hands, but small enough to handle easily and well.

Consider how well the Barbie games travel as well. The box is perfectly rectangular and fits inside other packing boxes without much trouble at all. The corners are sharp and it’s just the right size to be used in pictures. Of course, the wrapping and shape of the box is just the start of the good things to come. When you open up Barbie games under the tree, there is that excitement of something pretty. She may not sparkle, or she might actually, but Barbie games are always special no matter how old you are.

Barbie Games and Christmas

There is nothing finer than Barbie games when it comes to picking out Christmas presents for my young friends. I have at least ten children on my Christmas list and Barbie games make it very easy to pick out something for most of them – the girls at least. The trick is to find the Barbie games that wouldn’t be considered even marginally offensive to anyone. This usually just means picking out the dolls carefully to be sure you have the best ones for the job.

My favorite of the bunch are the Disney princess dolls and I especially like the princesses that came out in the last few decades. I don’t like the idea of giving my friends princess dolls that are wimpy or weak. I’d much rather give them the princesses that took care of business in their own right. My second choice is the Barbies that have tougher jobs. I’ve seen a lot of the “baby doctor” Barbie games and a few of the Barbie vet games as well. I’m thinking those are going to definitely top the list for this year.

Princess Barbie Games

I was impressed recently to see a large box of all of the princesses little girls play with being sold in a set. There were at least six, maybe even seven princess Barbie games in a single box – all lined up and named according to the popular children’s movie they were from. I understand that princesses are a big deal with little girls, but I wonder if Barbie games aren’t getting a bit less creative by selling the same doll who already has a story.

The best thing about something like Barbie games is how simple they are and how easily children can start to create with the dolls. The Barbie games are like a blank slate and the girls are able to draw on that slate by giving Barbie stories to act out. When Barbie games are sold as princesses who have a movie and story already, are they are ripe for creative interpretation? It’s not certain, of course, but if I were to go back in time, I think I’d much rather have Barbie games that I could actually play with rather than a doll whose life was predetermined for me.

Barbie Games and Dream Houses

I personally never realized that Barbie had quite so many dream houses. I’ve been peeking through toy catalogs over the last few weeks and I’ve come across at least three different Barbie dream houses in those booklets in the last week alone. When I was playing Barbie games once upon a time, there were maybe two Barbie dream houses, and they were separated by years in designs. My older sister had a Barbie dream house passed on from a friend. I was fortunate enough to get a new one for Christmas when I was six or so. It was rather majestic with an elevator, although it was missing any furniture.

Today, however, there seem to be a full collection of Barbie games including any number of houses to choose from. The collection of Barbie games isn’t surprising considering how popular the games are with young girls, but I’ll admit that even I was a bit surprised to see that many housing options for Barbie. Perhaps she is going to single-handedly bring back the housing market one dream house at a time.

Barbie Games Online

There are a huge number of Barbie games online and, personally, I enjoy seeing the number of the games increase. Like so many girls my age, I never really finished playing with Barbies before they were all but taken away from me to be replaced with gossip sessions and nail polish. I’d love to return to the days of innocence and well being to sit around in my room with a large plastic case filled to bursting with Barbie games. Tiny shoes, plastic hair brushes and the obligatory Ken doll were all part of the Barbie collection, but now the Barbie games are gone and I’m supposed to be grown up.

Fortunately, there are online Barbie games to help people like me continue with the fun. In the online version of the Bratz games, you start with an all-but-naked Barbie doll. She then is dressed with your discretion from all of the different outfits and styles available. You get to pick out her hair styles, her clothing, her accessories and her background. It’s just like old times expect now you can play Barbie games without actually having her out or worrying about losing those tiny, tiny shoes.

Barbie Games and Changing the World

Our nations are growing older. The older generations are much larger than the ones being born today and this is affecting our government and the decisions we are making in regard to any number of things. Consider that by 2015 the United States will have more individuals over the age of 65 than children under the age of 5. For the children of today, this means that there will be more pressure than ever to create solutions and effectively solve problems.

The little girls playing Barbie games today will be the one changing the world in just a few years it seems. Barbie games are a great opportunity actually for children to start making the sort of decisions we’ll need to them to make as they age. Barbie games let girls explore their creativity and create all kinds of stories and solutions to problems both real and imaginary. Encouraging imaginative play is a huge way to boost abilities and results without streamlining ideas and solutions that can be limiting. Creativity is the key to future problem solving, and Barbie games encourage girls to develop and then use this important skill.

Online Barbie Games

While the store shelves are stocked with all sorts of Barbie gear, I like the online Barbie games even more. I’m a computer fan and you can find me here at the computer most of the evening, playing games and checking on the status of things. One of my favorite games are the Barbie games that are so prolific online. When I feel a bit girly, I can easily head online to the gaming websites and entertain myself by giving Barbie a makeover.

In the online Barbie games, you start with a doll base similar to a Barbie doll. Then you get to choose from the huge number of clothing and outfits online. Pull a great look together and then add the necessary accessories and shoes to finish her off. Finally, you can select a background or change her hairstyle to personalize the effect before you print off your Barbie games and show them to your friends or save them as a fun collection of designs.

Barbie Games and Christmas

I’m very much an early shopper when it comes to the holiday season. Given the choice, I’ll be out there buying all sorts of things for friends and family well before Thanksgiving. This is for two reasons, actually. I love to shop around and find the perfect gifts, but I also like to do my shopping without crowds. I find that I have a great selection of sale merchandise and items that aren’t on big specials yet, but are actually still reduced from the back-to-school sales.

Barbie games are always one of the top items on my list of things to buy for the Christmas holidays. I have any number of your girls to buy for, and Barbie games are a great way to be sure you’re getting something the girls will enjoy playing with while staying within a reasonable budget. Barbie games also wrap beautifully with their hard plastic boxes, and this, surprisingly is a concern for me simply because I like my presents under the tree to be as beautiful as the tree itself.

Barbie Games and Young Girls

Barbie was originally designed for older girls. The games were perfect for grade school girls who were tired of playing with baby dolls and who wanted something more realistic to play with besides paper dolls. When Barbie games were introduced, they were a huge novelty that caught on very fast. Today these girls play with the Barbie games online, but you’d be hard pressed to find many eight-year-olds at home with their Barbie dolls on a daily basis.

Instead it is the little girls who love the Barbie games. Toddlers and preschoolers are the most common owners of Barbie games and it’s not a bad thing by any stretch. With a huge collection of fashion dolls to choose from today on what used to be the pink aisle, Barbie games stand out thanks to their collection of princess and fantasy dolls. There simply isn’t a large selection of mermaid or fairy dolls that can be dressed up and actually played with. Barbie games have managed to catch a toe-hold on that market pretty effectively.

The Innocence of Barbie Games

The makers of Barbie games have worked hard to find ways to market the dolls in a casual, almost innocent way. The Barbie games feature the tall blonde bombshell with the tiny waist and large chest, but somehow her sexuality has been played way down. It might be that the world is simply a changing place and that today what we consider sexy and bold isn’t necessarily the same thing that caused a stir when the blonde doll was introduced, but I think it has to do more with some very clever marketing on the part of Mattel, the maker of the Barbie games.

Mattel is careful to position the Barbie games in an innocent light because the company is no longer marketing to grade school girls. Those girls are too savvy and world-wise to be interested in dressing up plastic dolls (although they have been known to play with the dress up games online.) The Barbie games are now being marketed to younger girls. Without asking Mattel, it’s reasonably clear that the Barbie games are being sold to preschoolers – three and four-year-olds more than anything else. Why else would most of the Barbies be princess or pop culture characters popular with this crowd?

Barbie Games and Gifts

I’m having a hard time giving Barbie games as gifts these days. It’s a strange phenomenon really, but it has less to do with the Barbie games and more to do with the girls I’d be giving the gifts to. For years I was buying gifts for three and four-year-old girls. In that age group, it seems like you can’t go wrong with a princess Barbie doll. But then something changes and it’s hard to tell if the kindergarten girls are still into Barbie games or not. Some have moved on and others are still there, but it’s always a gamble.

Not only are some girls not as thrilled with a Barbie game, the parents of these girls can be a bit hesitant to be excited about a Barbie as well. The connotation of the Barbie games with a ditzy blond and high fashion can be a bit much to swallow now that we all want our children to grow up strong and secure in their own right. Of course, Barbie games aren’t going to cause problems for anyone, and I still go for a pretty Barbie toy when I can, but there’s always that hesitation that makes me stop and think about what I’m doing.

Barbie Games at the Mall

There used to be a toy store inside the mall. When I was younger, I’d walk around the mall with my friends looking in the various stores for ways to spend my measly allowance. I’d find goodies in the inexpensive accessory stores and there was always something interesting to buy in the novelty shops, but my favorite way to spend some money in the mall was always the toy store. It was there that I could easily get away with my love of Barbie Games.

Like all good toy stores, there was most certainly a pink aisle right down the middle of the store. On the pink aisle, you’d find all kinds of Barbie games. There was the original Barbie doll dressed in a swimsuit and the Barbie dolls dressed up in different occupations. You could find Barbie games for every purpose or occasion, and even though I felt too old to actually buy the Barbie games for myself, I was certainly not too old to wander down the aisle just checking out what was new and different. It’s a habit, I’ll admit, I’ll still have when I shop in any store that has one of the lovely pink aisles.

Playing Barbie Games after School

I like to watch my younger sister come home from school. She’s excited about learning and since she only has a few minutes of homework every evening, she’s able to spend plenty of time playing with her favorite toys – the Barbie games. I can sit at the table working on my homework for extended periods of time while she plays quite contentedly in the next room. The Barbie games make me smile because it’s nice to see the innocence that comes with the early years of school.

My little sister is like many young children. She’s young enough to enjoy school and not be frustrated by it. It’s all new to her and she loves her warm and friendly teacher who thinks of fun projects and experiments to do in class. She loves to dress up for classes and to carry her Barbie games lunch box. And when she gets home, she just picks right back up with the Barbie games she was playing the day before. While I’m happy watching her be happy, I’m also just a tiny bit jealous of how carefree she is playing – enjoying herself and totally free of anything that resembles stress. It’s a charmed life with her Barbie games and I find myself charmed by it as well.

Barbie Games in the Car

There are some great car games out there, but one of the best are Barbie games. There are Barbie games online, but the best Barbie games for the car are the ones that don’t require the internet. Fortunately, there are plenty of these out there. To play them, you need a laptop and a pad or pillow to put in her lap to be sure that the laptop doesn’t fall while driving. Load up the Barbie games on the computer and she can get right to work dressing up the dolls to suit her inspiration at the moment and creating stories.

The trouble with playing traditional games in the car is the movement. You can’t position a mouse perfectly in the moving car, but with Barbie games you don’t need to. The Barbie games are more drag and drop than anything else – moving clothing onto a doll base in order to dress the doll to your liking. It’s easy to drag something around on the screen, even if you’re on a bumpy road. So long as she’s not likely to get car sick, having something to work on that’s not television or movies is a nice way to engage her mind during the drive.

Barbie Games Tempt Me Again

I have two boys who simply aren’t interested in Barbies. With those boys, I’ll never have a chance to accumulate Barbie games. I won’t get to dress the little Barbies in the way I did when I was a little girl. I have grown to accept this loss of Barbie games from my household, but the clever people at Mattel managed to tempt me recently. I almost bought myself a Barbie doll.

Actually, it was a Jacob doll, but they are made by Barbie and part of the Barbie games collection. I am impressed with how well the Twilight series have done and thought about buying the doll just for fun. I could display it at work for laughs, but at the same time I’d get my Barbie games fix that I just can’t get when I’m playing with all the boys in my household. I will say that I didn’t buy Jacob or Edward for that matter. But I did think about it for more than a few seconds. Barbie games are definitely still tempting.

Barbie Games Are Getting Classy

A quick stroll down the pink aisle recently made me realize how classy many of the Barbie games have become. There have always been the basic Barbies in their cheerful swimsuits ready for clothing and designs. But with the new black packaging, the elegant line of classy Barbie games impressed me. They were more adult looking than the pink packaged Barbie games.

If I could hazard a guess, I believe Mattel is targeting little girls with their pink boxed Barbies. The princesses and original Barbies in swimsuits and the like are very popular with the little ones. But to reclaim some of the older girl crowd, the company needed something different. The black boxed Barbies are that different. The dolls are sleeker and more sophisticated – just the sort of thing that older girls would be looking for in a fashion doll.

Barbie Games Are Immortal

Stop for a moment to think about all of the different toys that have survived over the years or seen a resurgence. Transformers, GI Joes, Strawberry Shortcakes and even the Smurfs have all popped up on toy shelves and they are all great fun. But among these only two types of toys are truly immortal – they will always be popular and always be around. These two are the toy cars and Barbie games. Why are these so timeless? Because they aren’t timeless at all.

Transformers and Strawberry Shortcake are essentially the same toys they were a generation ago when we played with them as children. The Barbie games a decade ago, however, are different from the games of today. And the Barbie games from two generations ago are night and day. The dolls in Barbie games change over time and her fashions change even more. The only other product in the toy aisles that has the same effect are the toy cars that take on the shape and design of popular cars of the decades.

Barbie Games and Presents

I love to give Barbie games as presents. The Barbie games are fun to grab and they are nice and shiny when you open up the box. I like a gift to look exciting when the paper is ripped away. After all, how much fun is it to rip open the paper and see a cardboard box? It’s totally boring – even if there is something exciting inside. So when I pick out Barbie games as a gift, I try to pick one that is exciting to look at in the package – one with lots of extra details, for example, of an accessory she might not have already like the horse or car.

Barbie gifts are easy to find in just about any store as well which makes it easy to grab the gift and go. They also make nicely packaged Barbie games in virtually every price range, so depending on your budget for a particular gift, you can grab something applicable that looks fun and is fun, but doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Barbie games are truly timeless and I’d probably get excited if I got one as a gift today – even though I’m old enough to hand them over to my own children as gifts.

Barbie Games and Fashion Trends

If the makers of Barbie games had their way, Barbie games would be the start of all kinds of fashion trends. Barbie has always been marketed as a fashion doll and she is always stylist, but she’s not a trend setter. Love her to death, but Barbie is a trend follower. She doesn’t define the fashion trends of each generation or decade. Instead she sets the trends for fashion dolls by redoing the trends that are already out there.

In fact, Barbie has left much of the fashion world behind by focusing on her own versions of timeless outfits. The doctor Barbie is dressed in a pink gown with a doctor’s jacket and the Vet doctor is similar. There are actually very few fashion Barbie games out there. Most are either career minded, dressed in a swimsuit or designed as a mythical or movie creature. You can find Barbie games designed as characters from Camp Rock as easily as you can find Barbie games designed as mermaids. Fashion setter? Nope, but fun none the less.

Barbie Games: Entertaining Girls for Decades

I had a conversation with a friend today that brought back some serious memories for me. It’s funny how the generations overlap a bit when it comes to classic toys like Barbie games. She mentioned that her two little girls are at the perfect age for playing together. They play Barbie games for hours on end and my friend has realized just how much she can get done. I commented that we don’t have Barbie games at my house, but we do have trains and Transformers that get played with for hours straight. It’s a great age for play.

The comment made me think back however to the time that I was five or six years old and was more than content to play Barbie games for hours with my sisters. We played and played coming up with all kinds of stories and ideas. We made new outfits for our Barbie games and designed fashions and houses for her to play in. Our Barbie games were complex and entertaining. It’s nice to know that almost two decades later, those games are just as popular and are still played the same way.

Barbie Games are Everywhere

Barbie games have been here more than fifty years and presumably, they will be here much longer than that. Barbie games started with the plastic dolls sporting a black and white swimsuit, but Barbie games today have expanded exponentially. Not only are the dolls out there more exciting and varied, but Barbie games have moved online as well making it more interesting and possible and play Barbie games virtually anywhere.

Barbie games may have started as plastic dolls with long flowing blonde hair, and in truth, they still are to an extent. But Barbie games are also in your car on DVDs and in the hands of your child on her hand held player. You can find Barbie games on the laptop and family computer where the online Barbie games can keep her entertained for hours as she learns to use her creativity and imagination in a very real, very rewarding way. The Barbie games we all grew up with are still there, of course, for quiet play in her room or to take along on a car trip. No matter which sort of Barbie game you’re interested in, you’ll have ample opportunities with the wide range available today.

Barbie Games and Toy Story 3

I love Toy Story 3, and the character I loved the most is Barbie. Sure, there’s Woody and Buzz and the fun of all that, but Barbie is a surprise character that has just as much heart as the rest of them along with a sharpness we just don’t see on that blonde bombshell in most of the Barbie games. Barbie is often written off as being a bit less than a superstar brainiac. In fact, there was a scandal once upon a time when the Barbie games had Barbie saying “Math is hard!” when you pushed a certain button on her back. The Barbie games we traditionally played had Barbie much more concerned about fashion and her hairstyle than anything else, but this wasn’t the case in Toy Story 3.

In the show, Barbie is unexpectedly cast off and donated to a daycare center. She meets Ken and love ensues almost off the bat. It flourishes until Barbie discovers that Ken has a double life – loving her in one and torturing her friends in another. Fortunately Ken is easy to work with being a bit less than brilliant himself and clever Barbie winds up saving the day and getting her man – not an easy job to do for someone with long blonde hair and plastic legs.

Barbie Games and Fashion Sense

If you want to learn more about fashion and what makes a fashionable outfit one that you should select, you don’t need to go any farther than the Barbie games. Barbie games are, and always have been, an exercise in fashion. The games are easy to play and enjoyable because the online version of Barbie games isn’t much different than the offline, authentic version. The Barbie games online take a doll base on the computer and then give you hundreds of options of clothing styles to dress her in.

Some of the Barbie games are smaller versions with some basic items to try on and play with, and others are full-blown editions of Barbie games with hundreds, even thousands of items to mix and match together. As you play Barbie games online, you’ll be able to dress up the doll and then share your image with friends, print it out or just enjoy it for the time being while you admire your own creation. When you’re finished with your current state of adoration, simply pull up more Barbie games and get started making something new. Barbie games are one of the few games that don’t have levels or ways to win. You can play them to your heart’s content and just enjoy the experience.

Barbie Games and Tiny Shoes

I never understood why they made Barbie dolls with such tiny shoes. The tiny high heels are kind of fun to look at, but they almost never stay on Barbie’s plastic or rubber feet and they always get lost. I don’t know of anyone who has managed to keep all of the tiny shoes that come with Barbie games. Of course, there is one way to keep up with all of Barbie’s tiny shoes – play the Barbie games online.

When you play the Barbie games online, you are taking the same Barbie dolls you’ve enjoyed for years and simply moving them into an online format. As you work with the dolls, you’ll have a chance to put together all of the fashions for them and create looks to really enjoy. Working with Barbie games online lets you experience all of her fashions, which is pretty substantial. The Barbie games also give you countless options when it comes to choosing Barbie’s tiny little shoes. And because they are digitally rendered rather than plastic that tends to just fall off, the Barbie shoes online are truly perfect for enjoying high heels in a microscopic size.

Barbie Games and Teenagers

If you’re a teenager, you’re not really supposed to love Barbie games anymore –at least according to some people. But for those of us that really know, Barbie games are a wonderful way to express your fashion sense and creativity. After all, it’s just another way to play with fashions. The best way to keep playing Barbie games once you’re a teenager is to take those games and a move them online. Playing online Barbie games gives you the freedom to play with Barbie games to your heart’s content without having to hear about their appropriateness.

Online Barbie games have another benefit as well. When you play online Barbie games, you have more options as far as clothing and styles. In some of the Barbie games, you have hundreds of clothing items you can choose from to design the look you’re going for. At the end of the day, you’ll have a beautifully dressed doll that you can use as part of your fashion template without worrying about what anyone might think – teenagers can love Barbies, too.

Barbie Games and Young Girls

Young girls tend to like Barbie games and want to play with them, but many of these girls get very frustrated trying to play with the actual Barbie dolls. The dolls are tiny and plastic and those little clothes don’t go onto the dolls very well. You have to yank and tug them to get them on and this just doesn’t work for the three or four-year-old girls who are trying to play with fashions and just can’t handle the process of getting them dressed and undressed.

Fortunately, there is a solution to all of this. If you have a young daughter who loves to play Barbie games, have her play with the games online. She’ll be able to design outfits and put everything together easily just by using the mouse and you’ll be able to sit beside her at the computer watching her design the outfits without having to yank or pull on the clothing yourself. It’s absolutely a win-win situation.

Barbie Games and Toy Story 3

Am I the only one interested to see what comes of the Barbie and Ken relationship in Toy Story 3? I saw a better preview for the new movie today and it looks like Barbie games will be definitely playing a part in the story line. Of course we all remember Barbie from the second toy story when she joined the cast, but now that the toys are older and wiser, Barbie finally gets to meet Ken.

In the first round of previews for the new film, it looks like everything is rosy between Barbie and Ken. They flirt, there’s a dream sequence part and they compliment leg warmers and ascots. But today I saw something a bit different. Apparently Ken isn’t a good guy in the movie. He appears to be one of the major players in a poker ring and in trying to harm Andy’s toys. At one point it even showed Barbie attacking Ken by yanking off the once celebrated ascot. It goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyhow),this is going to be a fun flick this summer.

Barbie Games for Summer

Now that the warm summer months have finally arrived, it’s time to do something special. Why not take some time this summer to break away from the Barbie games you’ve always played and try something new online. Barbie games online are vast and varied and there are thousands of sites and games dedicated to letting you dress up Barbie in all of the newest styles and more than a few old favorites as well.

To play the Barbie games, you’ll start with a doll base. The base looks astonishingly like a real Barbie in most cases. Your job is then to pick through the large collection of clothing and accessories available to the Barbies and pull some outfits together. It will be a bit of trial and error as you work to find what looks good and suits your taste, but eventually you’ll find the right mix and then you can proudly display your work. You can call over a friend to check it out. In some cases you can save the doll to your computer as an image file to be used as an avatar or other image. You might just print out the doll and stash her in a notebook full of your creations to be admired on a rainy day as you think about your future career in fashion.

Barbie Games and Babysitting

It’s amusing really, but I’ve never played as many Barbie games in my life as I get to when I’m babysitting. It’s a true Barbie games phenomenon. I think the reason every little girl I babysit gets excited about playing Barbie games with me, the older, wiser babysitter is that I’m not her mother and I’m not her own age. I’m in between – a teenager ready to impose real fashion wisdom and advice. The fact that I’m just someone new to play with certainly doesn’t hurt either.

I remember growing up and getting excited at the idea of a babysitter coming over to play with us. We’d make plans for all of the exciting games we’d enjoy with the grown-up teenager, and I’m reasonably sure that’s what I’m experiencing today. The girls I babysit think I’m cool and that I’m a great person to play Barbie games with. I, for one, am not going to bust their bubble by letting them know about my fashion weaknesses. Instead I’ll be wise, savvy and fashion-forward, so long as I have a Barbie outfit to show for it.

Barbie Games: Life in Plastic Heels

What would it be like to live life in plastic heels? I have a fondness for cute shoes, but even at my most fashionable I’d never be in heels as much as the Barbie games seem to be. Even fashion models are not in heels often. But outside of just the uncomfortable nature of the shoes, there is a lot to say about Barbie and her lifestyle.

I can’t imagine the scrutiny of living her life. Barbie is the most iconic woman in the world. Everyone knows who she is and how she is supposed to look. She’s never gained any weight and she’s only changed her hairstyle once or twice in her lifetime. Barbie has an impressive wardrobe, but I wonder if she ever gets a chance to really just cut loose and relax with friends. I image being one of the most famously beautiful women in the world would severely cramp your casual image. But then, if I’d been around fifty years, I’m reasonably sure I’d just start making my own rules at some point. And I’d start with a pair of adorable plastic flats.

Retro Barbie Games

The Barbie games that date back to the past are the most interesting Barbie games I’ve seen of late. I was recently walking down the toy aisle and saw some Barbie games that actually made me stop and pay attention. The Barbie games box in front of me was holding a Barbie with blonde hair and a peach ball gown. The dress had rhinestones and sparkles over a sweetheart neckline and a long flowing peach skirt.

I was totally amazed. The last time I’d seen that particular Barbie was about twenty years ago when I was playing with the original version. Actually, that Barbie was my sister’s. My older sister had the Barbie with the flowing peach gown, but we all used that gown when it was time to dress up our Barbies for a grand adventure or a special ball. We’d dress up Barbie and have Ken pick her up in the silver corvette. Even now I’m smiling thinking of that retro Barbie. It was hard for me to leave it on the shelf. If I see it again, I might just pick her up for old time’s sake.

Twilight Barbie Games

I saw the greatest Barbie games ever today. I was shopping for some toys (birthday parties, you know) and saw a large display of New Moon Barbie dolls. The dolls were pretty careful replicas of the characters from the movies Twilight and New Moon. Edward was even intensely pale, just like in the movies. If I’d had the extra cast at the time, I would have snapped up the three dolls and added them to a Barbie collection.

But without an extra $60, I had to go off and leave the new Barbie games in the store, but I was certainly impressed. Jacob, I think was the most impressive in the movie and in the Barbie box. He was wearing his simple blue jean shorts and even was sporting the correct tribal tattoo on his shoulder – just like in the movie. Jacob was bronzed, had shorn hair and a pretty impressive figure. His face even looked like a real Jacob – not a Ken doll redone. Edward and Bella were the same way but with far paler skin and builds that weren’t quite as impressive.

Playing Barbie Games Online

Online Barbie games are great. They are easily one of my favorite ways to spend a few minutes between homework projects letting my inner creativity come through for a few minutes. To play the Barbie games, you start with a doll base on a girl game website. The doll base is amazingly similar to the bare Barbie doll. The online games are played in a very similar way to the games you played with the dolls once upon a time.

Start by selected some basic outfits for your Barbie games. You’ll want to find something cute for her to wear, but don’t worry about trying on everything in one swoop. You get to play as many times as you like. Dress Barbie up in her adorable outfits and then send the picture to a friend, print it out as inspiration or just delete it and start again. The more Barbie games you play, the more creative you will become. Soon you’ll start seeing new ways to blend and mix outfits and that creativity will definitely come shining through.

Barbie Games as Gifts

There is nothing more exciting for a little girl than opening up a big Barbie box and finding the treasures inside. Barbie games are an exciting surprise for most little girls, but not all. The Barbie games should be given to girls who you are comfortable with. After all, it would be awkward to give Barbie games to a little girl whose mother hates the “non-feminist” mark of Barbie in her household. Of course, in those cases, the little girl is almost sure to love the doll since her friends already have them, but you run the risk of upsetting her parents.

To pick the right Barbie as a present, get in touch with a little girl’s parents. Ask them if there is anything in particular she needs to complete her Barbie collection. You might be the proud bearer of the Barbie horse she’s been wanting for months when you show up at the party. If you just know that the Barbies are the way to go, play it safe with a Barbie that’s not objectionable. Find the ones that have prestigious careers like doctors and pilots so that you can show that women, even plastic ones, can be anything they want.

Barbie Games Live On

I think Barbies will live on with Twinkies and roaches after civilization is destroyed. I mean how can Barbie be destroyed? She’s reigned as the queen of all fashion toys – arguably all toys – for half a decade and she’s not showing any signs of weakness moving into the next decade. Barbie is a tough cookie and she’s ready to take whatever the world can throw at her. Her improved plastic body and ready smile can certainly take her places and that just might be her saving grace.

How many time capsules can you even presume that Barbie is part of? She’s likely buried in the earth countless times as part of a child, class or community’s time capsule and someday when we’re gone and those few survivors are looking for tokens of the past, they will have a large supply of Twinkies, some roaches to share them with and of course more than a few Barbie dolls to play with. I will say this – after leaving one of my Barbies in a box in the attic for years in the hot summers, I’ll be willing to bet that the Barbie games that live on for decades will be missing their hair, but who needs hair in a few centuries?

Barbie Games and Glam

The Barbie games have definitely added a bit of glam to an otherwise basic fashion doll kingdom. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always adored Barbie games, but I like the new pink and black thing that the dolls are doing and I like the glamorous rooms of furniture and accessories you can now get for the Barbie dream houses. Barbies are big business of course, but they needed something new and different to pick them up again from the basic doll and outfit they were becoming.

The pink and black line of furniture and accessories is packaged one room at a time. I personally like the box of bathroom furniture. I mean really – how can Barbie get ready for a date with that stud, Ken, if she hasn’t had a proper soak in the tub and a chance to go potty before hand? I love the large soaking tub they include for Barbie and the other vintage styled accessories. Personally I love them primarily because I’d like to have them in my own home, but I digress. Any way you slice it, Barbie and her dream home are looking great now thanks to these new pink and black packages.

Barbie Games and Friendship

I’ve cemented many a friendship over Barbie games. The games are simple enough, with fashionable clothing options and lovely Barbie hairstyles to play with online. The games are easy enough to play that there’s almost no learning curve and you don’t even have to be with your friends to play the games together.

Here’s an example of how my friends and I would play the Barbie games. In our group of three or four friends that tend to enjoy Barbie games, one of us will send out a challenge to the others on a social networking site or through email or such. Then we’d get busy creating a doll to match the challenge. One week the challenge was to create a red design. The next week was to create a princess design. The week after that was to create the most outlandish design ever. When we’d finish our design, we’d send the completed Barbie games to each other to “judge” and laugh over. It’s a fun way to keep in touch without tons of heart-to-hearts.

The Secret of Barbie Games

Barbie games are astonishingly simple, but that doesn’t keep them from being wonderfully entertaining as well. Barbie games are not as well-known as their fashionable counterpart the Barbie dolls, but online Barbie games have quite a bit to offer the young fashionista. Barbie games are easy to play – you start with a doll base and add clothing and accessories until you have a lovely, stylish, beautiful creation worthy of a fashion catalog.

But the real secret of the Barbie games is how immensely satisfying the games can be. When you play with the online Barbie dolls, it’s hard to not hearken back to your youth when you played with the dolls all of the time. If you were anything like me, you had more than a few Barbie dolls and enough Barbie clothing to max out the closets of the dream house – if it had closets, which mine did not. So when you sneak onto the online Barbie games, you’re getting a little taste of what it’s like to play the games again – quickly, easily but with just as much fun as you had years ago.

Celebrating Barbie Games

There are only so many truly enjoyable activities online, and Barbie games are one of them. The Barbie games I enjoy are in essence dress up games and have all the trappings of fashionable elements. To play Barbie games, you need only a bit of creativity and fashion sense – or really just creativity. The fashion sense may come in time.

Start your Barbie games will start with a girl ready to be dressed. She might even be missing her hair. Give her a hairstyle you like and see how she looks. Don’t like it? Give her another one and she’ll look lovely. Then you move on to her clothing items. Pull together a nice look using the huge number of shirts, skirts and dresses they have and then enjoy showing her off.

Showing off your creation can take many forms. You can show her off by printing her out and showing her to friends or emailing her directly to them. You might opt to post your new creation on a message board or forum or perhaps enter her into a competition. You never know – you might just win!

Why Do We Pick on Barbie Games?

What is it about the beautiful blond doll that makes us want to pick on her so badly. Like most girls, I loved Barbie when I was younger – much younger – but now that I’m older, I can’t faithfully declare my allegiance to my Barbies without having to hear horror stories of the things people have done to the dedicated little doll. Barbies are a classic toy, even if yours are all new, and the classic beauty of Barbie is obviously to blame.

Barbie is easy to love or hate. She’s beautiful. She’s classy. She’s well dressed. She’s plastic. And we abuse this poor plastic doll unmercifully. If you’re like me the first thing you did to your Barbie games were to cut their hair. It starts innocently enough with trying to create an actual hairstyle for Barbie, but then it dissolves into humor and Barbie ends up with a shaved head. Then, my Barbies started to sport tattoos and clothing that were a bit skimpy for her usual wardrobe. Skimpy clothes or not, however, I’m just proud I can say I never blew up any of my Barbies.

Barbie Games and Me

I’ve always loved Barbie games. The small dolls with their adorable fashions and accessories have always appealed to me. I know I’m not the only one who loves the Barbie games, but among my friends I’m easily the most obsessed. It’s nice in a way though to have a hobby that’s not especially expensive and doesn’t create much of a stir. I collect Barbies and entertain myself making Barbie clothing for me and for friends, or children of friends, or for those who like to buy such things online.

It’s a fun hobby to have since it’s so nicely simplistic and yet fashionable. Barbie has changed so much over time it’s a joy to look at my collection and watch her grow and change. It makes you wonder what it might have been like to play with Barbies in the fifties or the sixties. The Barbie doll looks so dramatically different you just know it had to be a world away from what we know and enjoy now. As far as I’m concerned, I’m not convinced it wasn’t better back then.

Barbie Games and Little Girls

There is something about the Barbie games out there that always seem to bring out the child in me. I fee like a little girl again when I play the Barbie games either online or off. For example, my young cousin was over just the other day and brought along a giant box of Barbies and accessories. I sat down to play Barbies with her and looked up to find that hours had gone by while I dressed the dolls and did their hair. I made Barbie pretty and, much to my cousin’s delight, got her ready for a big date with Ken.

She had Ken drive up in the Barbie car and they rode off together into the sunset. Things were so simple playing Barbie. It didn’t matter that I wasn’t “supposed” to be crawling on the floor pushing the Barbie car around. It didn’t matter a bit that I spent thirty minutes fixing Barbie’s hair for a big date. It reminded me of how I would spend my time when I was much younger and life was carefree and easy. Not, of course, that I have a hard life now, but there’s something to be said for flashing back to the good ol’ days when you can.

The Newest Barbie Games

Barbie has spent a lot of time updating its line of Barbie games to introduce new games that resonate with kids today. These games are a bit different than the ones just a decade ago. Bratz forced Barbie to reconsider her look and her image and now Barbie is much more fashionable both in clothing and in the minds of girls than she was just a couple of years ago.

Barbie’s new line of clothing and accessories is more in line with what we’d expect from the leading fashion princess in the doll world. The Barbies have cooler jobs. They have cooler cars. They also have really cool houses. The pink and black boxes of Barbies include housing accessories and furniture for the Barbie dream house that are really pretty awesome. I might not be doing much with Barbies these days personally, but even I was tempted to check out the new rooms I saw while shopping the pink aisle a few days ago. The Barbie games are on a role – getting better and better. I, for one, am glad to hear it.

Barbie Games Going Up

Recent news has shown that Barbie has seen an upswing. Barbie games are more popular now than they have been in the last two years and Mattel couldn’t be happier. The Barbie games have struggled in the last ten years as society changed and fierce competition moved in. The Bratz games took sizable portions of the market away from Barbie, but she rebounded in a fierce way by suing for ownership rights of the Bratz games and winning.

So legally, Barbie has been helped along in her popularity by eliminating the competition to a degree, but that’s not all. Barbie has had a dramatic makeover of late and has reached a new place in the hearts of girls. They want her $200 three-story dream house. They are dying for her $80 camper. They want the new and improved fashionista Barbie dolls to grace the interior of those campers and houses. Barbie has been redone to reflect what girls today are looking for in a fashion doll. The more they approve, the more Barbie games will keep moving off the shelves.

Barbie Games and Fun

There’s no way around it, Barbie games are just fun to play. For games as simple as they initially appear, many wonder what sort of appeal the Barbie games really have for the girls who seem to play them religiously. The answer is far more complex – and simple – than you might think.

Barbie games are simplistic. Thanks to the simplicity of the Barbie games, you can enjoy playing games without having to level up or save your work. You can start a new project and finish it in a few minutes or labor over a design and corresponding story for an hour and still be completely finished with the creation.

Barbie games are creative. There aren’t too many truly creative games online, but Barbie games are one of the most entertaining. To play Barbie games, you select a doll and then focus on the fashion and style for that doll. The end result can easily be a work of art.

Barbie games are fun to share. The beauty of Barbie games are easy to share with others. Simply email the picture or share it on a forum. Talk about your designs and enjoy seeing what others have created.
