Barbie Games and Summer
Every summer, I’m reminded again why I like Barbie games. The simple truth is this: Barbie games are simple and they always make me want to go swimming. It’s a strange comparison, of course, but when you stop to think about it, the best Barbie games always seem to be featuring Barbie in a hot tub or swimsuit. Look through the dolls in the fashion toy aisle at your favorite toy store. You’ll see more than a few Barbie dolls sitting there in their swimsuits. Some even sport fish tales in a true mermaid style.
But the best accessories for Barbie games are not the giant houses. It’s the swimming pools and hot tubs. Check those out in the store and commercials and you’ll know what I mean. When you play with Barbie games in a swimming pool, you’re able to put some water in the pool, line up your dolls and have a regular beach party. It’s fun in a way that a big empty house just can’t be. And if you get bored with the doll party, you can always take your Barbie games into the big pool with you.

Barbie Games and Pinterest
I’m a recent convert to Pinterest, but I’m already addicted. It’s scary how quickly you can get sucked into the site full of pictures, ideas and plans for others. You might think of crazy cartoons, interesting crafts and that sort of thing when you’re considering Pinterest, but there are plenty of other ways to use the site as well – including showing off some of your Barbie games.
Barbie games are typically played by yourself, or perhaps with a good friend who is over for the day to enjoy some of the outfits you have for dressing up your dolls. But you can now play Barbie games with the whole world if you want to take pictures of your creations and post them online. For example, you can dress up your Barbie games in your own creations and then snap a picture of the costume. Pose the doll, create a great look and let everyone enjoy it!

Barbie Games with Ken
One of the most distinctive things I remember about growing up playing Barbie games is how jealous I would get of my sister's Ken doll. She had the Ken doll with the blonde plastic hair while I was stuck with the more stylish. but also more foolish Derek doll. It was the eighties and Derek - at least I think that was his name - ran around with a full head of hair on his head. He had curly hair that I didn't think was particularly attractive. I always preferred Ken's more clean-cut look.
I was sad the day I realized that my mom had cleaned out the closet and given away all of the old Barbie toys. I was able to hang onto a couple of dolls at the time, but I never did see what happened to that Ken doll. Fortunately, I've outgrown my own Ken doll games, but with a niece about the right age, it's only a matter of time before I start buying an entirely new collection of Barbie game and you can be sure that I'll be buying a Ken doll right along with Barbie and her friends.

A Barbie Christmas Party

Want to throw a Christmas party, but don’t really know how to get started? Why not harken back to your youth and invite your friends over for a tea party – with their Barbie dolls! Every girl has a Barbie, and you can invite her to dig her out of a box in a closet, throw on her nicest clothing and then bring her along to your Christmas party.
If your friends don’t have their dolls around anymore, you can also provide them with new Barbies as the dolls aren’t super expensive and would make a fun holiday treat. The commemorative Holiday Barbie for 2008 is more expensive, but she might make a great hostess to the party at your side.
When your friends and Barbies arrive, do silly things like arranging a photo scavenger hunt. Your friends group up and each group heads out to find certain things. When they find it, they must take a picture with Barbie in each one. The group with the most creative pictures or whomever finds all of the items – wins!
You’ll want to have yummy food as well, and don’t forget about those dolls! You should make delicious treats in a large size for the big kids and you can sit the Barbies at a separate table with their little treats. Be sure you get plenty of pictures to laugh about later.

Barbie Movie Marathon

It’s raining or hot and you don’t want to go outside. You’re also tired of doing your required reading and watching television. This is the perfect day to host a movie marathon. Grab a friend or two and head to the movie store. You’ll want to find the best selection possible for this marathon because you’re not watching new releases – you’re watching the best of the Barbie movies.
While not among the traditional Barbie games, Barbie movies are a lot of fun for those of us who enjoy the blonde haired dolls. If you’ve never seen any of the Barbie movies, you’re seriously missing out on some fun animated entertainment. Rent three or four of the movies, pull on your pajamas, grab your pillow and settle in for a different kind of entertainment.
Barbie movies are a lot like any animated feature film. They are happy, have small problems that are easily overcome and the girls in the movies are pretty. Pretty mindless when you want to just relax and enjoy relaxing for a bit with the kinds of movies that will keep you interested without making you think very much.

Barbie’s Birthday Party

You might have had a Barbie theme at your own birthday party, but surely you’ve noticed that no matter how many times Barbie shows up at your birthday party and those of your friends, nobody ever take the time to plan Barbie’s birthday party.
If you love Barbie games, prepare Barbie’s birthday party is one of the best versions around. Not only do you get to decorate and pick out a cake for guests, you also get to invite all of your friends and their Barbie dolls. It gets tricky at this point, however – if you have five friends with five Barbies, does that mean all of the dolls are worthy of celebrating on the special day? It’s up to you.
Barbie’s official birthday was March 9, 1959 so the day of celebration is still a fair way away. Of course, if you’re going to throw her a golden birthday party for turning fifty this year, it might take you months to plan. But if you’d rather not wait months, you can have a party whenever you want. Send evites to your friends and decorate Barbie’s dream house.
Bake a cake for you and your friends to enjoy while you gather around the play house with Barbie for a rousing round of singing and gossip about all the Kens in the world.

Plan a Party with Barbie Games

Thinking of having a sweet birthday party but can’t seem to settle on the perfect theme? Why not do a throw back to years gone by and have a Barbie party this year. If you love Barbie, and who doesn’t, you can find all kinds of great party ideas and items online or in stores.
Start with the plates, napkins, cups and other basic items. You can buy basic ones in a pink Barbie color, but it’s always more fun to go for the gusto with a full-on Barbie theme including pictures on everything. Barbie cake tastes much more fun eaten off your plate with Island Barbie’s smiling face.
When you’ve got the basics, you’ll need a centerpiece for your table and other decorations. This is where your Barbie collection comes into play. Grab your Barbie convertible and steer it onto the table with Barbie at the wheel. Arrange the rest of your Barbies and accessories around the table and room – even your Barbie Dream House if you can make it fit somewhere.
Finally, you’re going to need some cake. Head to your local bakery to see what Barbie concoctions they offer with the rest of the kid cakes. If you can’t find one there, there are plenty of Barbie cake options offered through the Barbie website or on a specialized cake website.
