Barbie Games and Summer
Every summer, I’m reminded again why I like Barbie games. The simple truth is this: Barbie games are simple and they always make me want to go swimming. It’s a strange comparison, of course, but when you stop to think about it, the best Barbie games always seem to be featuring Barbie in a hot tub or swimsuit. Look through the dolls in the fashion toy aisle at your favorite toy store. You’ll see more than a few Barbie dolls sitting there in their swimsuits. Some even sport fish tales in a true mermaid style.
But the best accessories for Barbie games are not the giant houses. It’s the swimming pools and hot tubs. Check those out in the store and commercials and you’ll know what I mean. When you play with Barbie games in a swimming pool, you’re able to put some water in the pool, line up your dolls and have a regular beach party. It’s fun in a way that a big empty house just can’t be. And if you get bored with the doll party, you can always take your Barbie games into the big pool with you.

Barbie Games and Valentines
This year for Valentine’s Day, I’m going to be a bit ironic rather than going with something more traditional. I believe I’m going to give all of my friends Barbie games valentines. Why, you may ask? I’m choosing Barbie this year for two reasons. The first is that I simply like Barbie. A lot. Who doesn't like Barbie games? The second reason I’m choosing Barbie games is because it’s a bit ironic when I do. How many other girls pick up Barbie valentines at my age? They are too busy baking cookies or buying candy. But not me!
Distributing my Barbie games valentines is fun, of course. All I have to do is tear out the little cards like I did back in elementary school. Then I write a short message to all of my friends on the cards and carefully pick out the right picture for the right friend. Then, once I have my cards sorted, I can distribute them to my friends. If I’m really feeling generous, I might go ahead and put some candy hearts into each card so that everyone can enjoy the fun of sweets and secret messages together this year.

Understanding Barbie Games
Barbie games are hugely popular after more than fifty years and for good reason. The girls who love the Barbie games are those same girls who embrace fashion and the fun that dress up games can be. Barbie games are easy to play for both young girls and older ones, and the dolls are easy enough to play with that you can enjoy them as a teen or even as an adult as you grow older.
Playing with the Barbie games as little girls, the youngest fans enjoy the princess and fairy tale characters that come along. They are just as likely to play with the naked Barbie games as they are to enjoy the games with a fully dressed doll. It's only when a girl gets older that she realizes that you can have the most fun of all creating the clothing for the Barbie games and dressing up the dolls over and over again.

Create Barbie’s House

It would seem that Barbie no longer just has her dream house. Now, you get to create Barbie’s house for her. The Barbie My House opens up a whole new realm of Barbie games. You’re able to design her house and arrange the rooms any way you want simply by moving some of the flexible walls and furniture.
Of course, if you aren’t lucky enough to have any formal house for your baby, you can still create your very own Barbie house.
Grab a large cardboard box of some kind – it can be a diaper box, a packing box, or even a large cereal box. Cut off the flaps at the top of the box leaving the box wide open. Turn the box on its side to create the basic house.
Now, to create walls and possibly two stories (if your box is tall enough) cut a slit in the center of the flaps you removed. The cut should be from the side to the middle of the flap. Do this on another flap that fits the other direction of the box. Put the two together overlapping the cuts to keep them in place. Put the cross you’ve made into the box and your new Barbie house suddenly has four rooms.
You can now decorate the rooms as you please!

Barbie Movies

If you like Barbie games you might also really enjoy the Barbie movies. There are many different kinds of Barbie movies to satisfy all the different tastes and age groups of fans. If you’ve never had a chance to sit through a Barbie movie, here are a few reasons why you might really enjoy one.
The Good Girls Win
Sometimes it’s nice to see the good girl get what she deserves, and that’s the case in the Barbie movies. There is good and bad in each movie, and good wins – hands down, every time. It’s rather refreshing, really.
Kids Love Them
If you buy a couple of Barbie movies, you can throw them into your babysitting bag. The movies are inexpensive and about an hour long, so they are the perfect investment for entertaining your charges. Take them with you and plop on in the DVD player – the little girls especially will be fascinated.
Dolls Come to Life
Anyway you cut it, it is fun to see your favorite dolls come to life. Barbie is such as staple of our existence in a smiling plastic way. On screen, she’s no longer plastic – she’s the real deal. Of course, in most of the movies she’s animated, but it’s still fun to be on the lookout for Barbie accessory items such as her horse or car in the background, especially if you have the play versions sitting right by the television with the rest of your Barbie gear.

Barbie Games Will Never Grow Old

Some games grow old. It’s hard to imagine playing with My Little Pony or Polly Pocket after a few years, but Barbie games never grow old. Why? Because Barbie is completely timeless.
Fashion Forward
Barbie was introduced to the world decades ago, but if your mother or grandmother unearthed her old Barbie dolls, it’s a pretty safe bet, you’d have a blast dressing her in the clothes she wore back then. Fashion, especially the classic styles of fashion that Barbie always wears, is completely timeless. Dressing up the pretty little doll is rather timeless as well.
Classical Looks
If Barbie were sporting a beehive hairdo or had sheared pink punk hair, you’d be able to tell immediately what decade she belonged to. You’d feel silly bring an outdated Barbie to a friend’s house, but Barbie looks almost the same now as she did generations ago. Her features and hairstyle are classical. She’d fit in fine during the ancient Roman days or in the first colony on Mars.
Collectible
Finally, it’s a safe bet that Barbie will be around for quite some time because she is immensely collectible. Barbie dolls are designed to be played with or simply admired as part of a collection. The holiday Barbies especially are beautiful enough to collect annually. So long as there are individuals who enjoy collecting Barbie, there will be a Barbie for everyone to enjoy.

What We’ve Learned From Barbie Games

Women don’t need men to be successful. Barbie is immensely successful with careers as a doctor, nurse, pilot, daycare working and roller derby queen. She’s done all of this without ever marrying Ken. And in the last few years, Ken wasn’t even by her side while she went about learning to sing and her many other newer skills.
Fashion will take you far. When you look good, you’ll feel good. Even when she’s just hanging out around the house, Barbie always looks good. She has great success in everything she does and seems completely satisfied with her life. Maybe it’s because she knows she always looks good.
It’s not healthy to be underweight. According to her measurements and the scale in one of the dream houses, Barbie was completely underweight for her height. Critics claimed she was setting a bad example and couldn’t possible look the way she does. Apparently Barbie agreed because she got a new, thicker waistline recently and looks even better because of it.

Like Barbie?

So, you like Barbie games? I’ll bet you also enjoy Barbie dolls and the occasional Barbie movie. Have you ever stopped to wonder why that is? It’s no secret that generations of girls have played with and loved Barbie games, but what makes them so fun? Is it the doll? The fashion? No – it’s the reality of it all.
Barbie could very easily be a real person – although she’d have a slightly less perfect body if she were. She looks like someone we might know, and her clothes aren’t totally outlandish. She isn’t a cartoon and she has realistic things like cars, kids, houses and jobs.
Playing in a fantasy world is definitely fun, but playing with a doll that could really be your best friend is even better. You don’t have to make up planet names or new worlds to describe strange creatures. Barbie has simple pets and it’s fun just to help her get through the day – with plenty of wardrobe changes of course.
Barbie games aren’t complex. In fact, it’s just how simple they are that make them so appealing. Who knew having a normal day – even if you’re a doll – could be so much fun?

Barbie Dream House

One of the Barbie games offered on her website is creating Barbie’s dream house. This is a great deal of fun, but how do you know if you’re really creating Barbie’s dream house –could you be creating your own dream house instead?
Wherever you live now, I’m sure you’ve dreamed of a house that is designed just for you. If you haven’t there is no time like the present. In fact, creating Barbie’s dream house might just be the first time you’ve ever thought about how much fun it can be to pick out the location of stairs and balconies in a home.
Now that you know how much fun it is, you shouldn’t stop. Start a collection of drawings that show off your plans for your dream house. Get together with friends and design a house together that you can all live in. It doesn’t matter that it likely will never happen, this is all about dreaming, right?
Balconies, indoor swimming pools, personal libraries, elevators, and so much more are all at your disposal. Put in whatever you want, and then sit back and dream a bit of what it will be like when you’ve made enough money to really build a dream house.

Plan a Party with Barbie Games

Thinking of having a sweet birthday party but can’t seem to settle on the perfect theme? Why not do a throw back to years gone by and have a Barbie party this year. If you love Barbie, and who doesn’t, you can find all kinds of great party ideas and items online or in stores.
Start with the plates, napkins, cups and other basic items. You can buy basic ones in a pink Barbie color, but it’s always more fun to go for the gusto with a full-on Barbie theme including pictures on everything. Barbie cake tastes much more fun eaten off your plate with Island Barbie’s smiling face.
When you’ve got the basics, you’ll need a centerpiece for your table and other decorations. This is where your Barbie collection comes into play. Grab your Barbie convertible and steer it onto the table with Barbie at the wheel. Arrange the rest of your Barbies and accessories around the table and room – even your Barbie Dream House if you can make it fit somewhere.
Finally, you’re going to need some cake. Head to your local bakery to see what Barbie concoctions they offer with the rest of the kid cakes. If you can’t find one there, there are plenty of Barbie cake options offered through the Barbie website or on a specialized cake website.

Barbie’s Hair

Have you ever wondered why Barbie has blonde hair? Why is she a blonde? What if Barbie had brown or red hair instead? I personally don’t care what color Barbie’s hair is – one of my favorite Barbie games is changing her hair to suit me anyway.
A Dye Job
As far as I’m concerned, the best thing about white blonde hair is how easily it can be dyed. And by dyed, I mean colored with a permanent marker. When I feel a need to have a brown or black haired Barbie, I simply grab a marker and get started coloring.
Of course, you don’t have to do a permanent dye job right away unless you want to. You can use washable markers to at least get a feel for what Barbie would look like with different hair – just be careful because water based markers will rub off on everything. They certainly don’t stick to Barbie’s plastic hair for long.
A Cut
Also, Barbie’s hair is always long. This makes it better to braid and do a Barbie hair game, but still, it’s only right that she should have short hair on occasion. When I got tired of my long haired dolls, I’d grab a pair of scissors and take care of the problem. I can tell you – a brown haired Barbie with a pixie cut looks very different indeed.

Barbie Games This Fourth of July

It’s almost the Fourth of July and that means different things to different people, but there is room for Barbie games in every kind of celebration. Here are few you might want to try:
Swimming Pool Barbie Games
Take Barbie swimming with you and use her as entertainment for those long hours just lounging about. If you get bored, you can even use her as diving stick or a target to hit when jumping off the diving board.
Car Ride Barbie Games
Barbie is great in the car. She travels well and can pack lightly when she wants to. Bring Barbie along on your holiday road trip to keep yourself busy mile after long and boring mile.
Group Barbie Games
If you have family coming over, you might drop a mention to have your cousins bring along their Barbie dolls. Or you can pull out your entire collection. That way everyone has something to do all day while the grown-ups sit around and talk for hours.
Online Barbie Games
When the afternoon starts dragging and it’s too hot to play outside and too early for food and fireworks, take yourself and a friend to the computer to play online Barbie games. You might even introduce your younger cousins to the whole world of Barbie online.

Barbie Games Online

If you’re bored with regular Barbie games and chat rooms and social sites aren’t doing much for you online, you need something new and exciting. If you’re into Barbie or you used to be, you’ll love Barbie games online. Why? They’re fun and very different from what you might expect.
Barbie was fun because you could dress her up and let her play with her friends. That sort of Barbie game might not interest you now, but you wouldn’t mind playing dress up games with Barbie if she actually had some fashionable clothes to wear. Well, she does – you just have to find them online.
Online Barbie games are constantly evolving and they almost always have the hottest fashions. The exception would be period pieces like fancy ball gowns and wedding dresses. But most of the time even those are romantic and totally updated. In a matter of minutes you can have Barbie suited up in an outfit worthy of the red carpet.
If you haven’t tried Barbie games online, I urge you to give them a shot. You’ll soon discover just how interesting they can be and you’ll be hooked in minutes. The best part of all? There are so many Barbie games, it’s impossible to get bored!

Barbie Races

On your mark! Get set! Go! Barbie has some awesome vehicles. Jeeps, campers, Corvettes and even horse drawn carriages are always ready to take Barbie where she needs to go at a moment’s notice. If you’re lucky enough to have a few choices of transportation mode for your Barbie, why not line them up and have the ultimate showdown in Barbie races?
Gather a few friends and get Barbie dressed appropriate for the big race. Of course your friends should bring their own Barbies to the race. Everyone should draw a mode of transportation for the race as it might not be fair to the horse and carriage driver if the Hummer and Corvette aren’t assigned randomly.
Then get your suited up Barbies ready for action. Of course you can always set whatever rules you want, but a good rule of thumb is everyone must drive or race their Barbie and vehicle without leaving the right form. That means you’ll be on the ground pushing your Corvette along the same way your little sister would. This also gives the Corvette and the camper equal odds – or at least as equally as you and your friend can push them.
The first Barbie to arrive at the finish line after traveling correctly is the winner. That means that Barbie must actually stay on the horse or inside the moving Jeep, of course.
