Multicolored Barbies

I’m reasonably sure that in my existence, Barbie was the first toy to appear in multicolor. What I mean is Barbie started off as white as white can be. But soon Barbie’s friends began to show up in a multitude of colors. Barbie now has friends of every race and creed. I especially liked that one of her earliest friends had red hair – you just don’t find that many places.

Today it’s standard to have different colors and races represented in a product line, but from a child’s perspective, Barbie and Little People were the two places I saw diversity for the first time. I think there is a lot to be said for growing up around diversity. You see it first in your dolls and then in your life.

I personally like to get one of each kind of doll to add to a Barbie games collection. Not only does it make my collection more diverse, it makes it more fun as well.

The Best Barbie Accessories

Like most girls, I have a thing for Barbie games. I might not have played with my Barbies in a few years, but I have strong opinions on what the next generation of Barbie lovers need to have in their Barbie arsenal. Of course, at times I’m thwarted by the changing of time – some items just aren’t available anymore. But as far as I’m concerned, these are the best Barbie Accessories of all time.

Barbie Dress House
You have to have the house, and the best one every came complete with an elevator. There was no furniture, however, but perhaps that was sold separately.

Barbie Corvette
The Beetle is cute, but the Corvette was true Barbie style. I liked that it wasn’t pink, too. There is such a thing as too much pink.

Barbie’s Camper
I’m still not sure why Barbie had a camper, but it was great, especially when pulled behind the Barbie 4x4.

Barbie Games and Older Girls

Barbie has lost a huge following among older girls. Once Barbie was the only option when loved fashion and wanted to play dress up with a real doll. But when the Bratz were introduced, the love of Barbie became to fall off a bit, especially among girls older than eight or nine.

The makers of Barbie have recently won a case and will be reclaiming the Bratz line as their own, but things are still unclear as to what happens next in that particular lawsuit and settlement. But whatever happens with the Bratz dolls, there is still the question of getting the interest of older girls.

Barbie games have already gone online a big way, and this is certainly a nice start. I think to really reclaim the lost love of older girls, however, Barbie is going to have to go back to school. She’s lost touch with what girls that age like to do and what they would relate to in a doll. But once she starts hanging out with the third grader pack, she’ll know just what to do.

Three Reasons to Come Back to Barbie Games

If you’ve strayed from the original fashion games, it’s time to come back. Why?

Bratz games might be disappearing. Things are still a bit unclear, but the Bratz have lost a major lawsuit and aren’t going to be sold in stores after a certain date. It could be the end for Bratz games online, too. Barbie games might be your only good option left.

Barbie games are better. Everything takes time to improve and become all that it can be and this is true for Barbie games as well. But years online have helped Barbie become engaging and fun for girls of all ages.

Barbie games are familiar and fun. It’s always fun to revisit your youth. If you haven’t play Barbie games in years, you might be surprised by exactly how much fun you can have with the dolls you used to play with every day.

Nobody Can Complain About Barbie Games

There are always complaints about Bratz games. The girls dress too provocatively and have facial expressions that make grown-ups uncomfortable, but for those who don’t prefer the more urban fashion doll experience, there is always the staple to come home to.

Barbie Games
Barbie is the classic fashion doll. She’s undergone a few key renovations and remodels over the year, but despite being more “personable” through movies and Barbie games, she’s still the classic beauty waiting to be dressed up and enjoyed by young girls everywhere.

Outgrowing Barbie Games
There comes a time for many young girls, however, when they seem to outgrow Barbie games. But the best thing about Barbie, however, is that she is truly universal. You might think you’ve outgrown her, but there will come a point when you realize you wouldn’t mind having her back again.

Barbie Games For Everyone

There are a few different types of Barbie games to play. You might be a fan of the original fashion doll, or you might enjoy other variations of the dress up games online. There are even more games than this, however, when you start to consider all of the flash games, board games and even movies that exist all because of Barbie.

Barbie has an almost universal appeal. She’s friendly, she’s pretty, she can relate to everyday circumstances. Most people, especially parents, love that she’s shown in so many professional careers, at least in recent memory. Barbie, the girl in the pink Corvette, is a doctor, a lawyer, a chef, and anything in between.

You can find Barbie online in both dress up games, the online version of the clothing you use to pull off and force on Barbie, or you can play any of the other graphical games Barbie has on her website. You can help her get dressed just as easily as you help her design a house or visit with her friends.

Barbie Games – Help Barbie Find Romance

It’s getting closer to Valentine’s Day and we all know that Barbie is having trouble in the romance department. She broke up with Ken – it was getting much to serious, so now she’s looking for love, and it’s up to you to help her find it. Since we’re talking about Barbie games here, I have a few suggestions for Barbie’s next big romance:

Ken – Sure she rejected him, but why not give it another chance? They’ve both been through a lot since the big break-up, maybe it’s time to move on and give love another chance.

Obi-Wan Kenobi – He is a master Jedi training some of the best Jedi knights, including the one that turned on his brethren. When I vote for Obi-Wan Kenobi, I mean the young version – not the old man. Who could reject such as warrior?

Zac Efron – He’s in the boxes for High School Musical style dolls, but that’s no reason he can’t get to know Barbie a bit. He’s young, he’s fun, he can sing. He makes the perfect guy for a girl looking to go out on the town and have fun again.

Great Winter Barbie Games

Looking for something fun to do with your Barbies this winter? Why not make them a winter wonderland inside your house? All you need are towels, masking tape and a bit of creativity. Start by making a winter resort for Barbie. You can drape white towels over small boxes to make hills or use pillows to make the hills more “authentic.” If your’e really creative, you can use a blue towel to make an ice skating pond and white ones for snow covered mountains.

Then use your masking tape to help keep the towels in place and to mark off paths for Barbie to use around the wonderland. You can even use the tape to outline buildings. By the end of the afternoon, you can have cabins, rivers, lakes, mountains, paths, and ski lodges all created.

Then, of course, it’s time to play. Dress Barbie for winter and send her off to the lodge. Help her to her taped off room and use your other dolls to become her friend or maybe her band mates. Let your imagination run wild as you come up with hundreds of ways to use your winter adventure. It’s sure to keep you busy for days, if not weeks – if you’re allowed to leave it set up that long.

Barbie Games Get a Remodel

Barbie turns fifty this year and it’s time for a serious remodel. There is too much Barbie in the world and that makes Barbie games a bit tricky to navigate sometimes. Barbie is everywhere you look and she doesn't always look the same way. So in 2009, Barbie gets a remodel.

The actual doll will likely stay the same, but everything around her will be changing to make her more upbeat and likeable in a modern environment. First all of the Barbies will start to look a bit more like each other – or the boxes at least. Did you realize there are fifteen or so different shades of Barbie pink? Maybe it’s time for just one!

Barbie is also going to get some edgier clothes and something more fun to do than call Ken on her cell phone. She’s getting video games, more friends, and hopefully a bit more trouble. After all, it’s much more fun to play with a girl who gets in a spot of trouble every now and again – nobody is perfect after all.
